Super Text Search is an excellent program that lets you search for text in any file. How? Well, in a fairly comfortable way: just tell Super Text Search the string to be found in a text file, and say what hard disk location it should appear in.
Super Text Search allows you to apply a variety of filters to the search: from choosing the file format in which to search, to indicating the dates the file was created on (useful when you are searching for thousands of files, and you want to optimize scanning time). You can specify regular expressions, and even make Super Text Search search within compressed files and subdirectories.
Once Super Text Search has located the files where the text you mentioned has been found, it will list all of them, and if you click on any of the Super Text Search results highlighted in red, you will see the document containing the text you were looking for.
